We had a great stay! It was exactly as described—clean, great location, easy to get to, and perfect size for our group. Jake was very communicative and provided clear, easy to follow directions. Would definitely stay again!

I had to make an “on the fly” plan and Jake was not only more accommodating than he needed to be, but responded promptly with every question, the area was adorable, the accommodations were immaculate, and every last minute change went smoothly thanks to the host! We will definitely revisit!

Great location! Parking was easy. My middle-aged knees were fine with the stairs. The beds were super comfortable.

We had a great visit to Pittsburgh for spring break and college visits, Jake's place fit all our needs for a family of 4 and a dog. Easy checkin and checkout, responsive host, clean and updated apartment, all in all worked well for us. Just an FYI- it did not dimish our stay but the water pressure in the showers was not great- a good to know. Thanks for a great stay Jake!

Great place. Spacious, clean and great beds. Well equipped kitchen and excellent location with lots of restaurants, shops, grocery store, liquor store - all within an easy few blocks walk.

We had a wonderful stay at Jake’s apartment and would absolutely recommend it. This was already our second time staying at one of Jake’s places, and once again everything was excellent. Jake is an incredibly responsive and thoughtful host who really goes above and beyond to make sure his guests are comfortable. Communication was always quick and helpful. The apartment itself is beautiful, very spacious, and extremely well equipped. Everything feels new and very well maintained, and it truly has everything you need to feel at home. The location in Shadyside is perfect, there are so many fantastic restaurants, cafés, and shops within walking distance, which made everyday life very convenient and enjoyable. Since we stayed for a full month, it was especially important for us to feel comfortable, and we really did feel at home here. We would definitely stay again!

Jake was very responsive, which was helpful b/c circumstances required for me to extend my stay (to another unit in the building). Parking is (expectedly) tight, but we were always able to find a good spot. Would definitely recommend.

Pittsburgh is a great city and it’s due in part to the variety of quality neighborhoods. Shady side neighborhood has pretty much all you need without excessive hustle and bustle.

Great place to stay close to everything

The apartment was amazing and very well appointed. It was spacious and my family had a great time there. The balconies were a really nice plus and our boys had a relaxing time having tea in the morning while watching cars. Jake was incredibly responsive and warm. It was more like a hotel experience in that they didn’t have detailed cleanup instructions that felt like work to leave. This is how an Airbnb should be run (although we did clean the place because that’s how we roll, ha ha). Would definitely stay at Jake’s place again and it actually makes us want to return to Pittsburgh.

The apartment was fantastic. everything was clean and felt super cozy. Also, the host was very friendly and helped us to solve some inconvenience we got due to our difficult trip schedule.

Such a spacious place! It's a very comfortable locationclose to campus and downtown, and the view is beautiful. We loved that it had a laundry machine, which came in handy during snowy/rainy times. Everything is just so professional, thanks again for hosting us!

We had a great stay at Jake’s Airbnb! Jake is always very responsive and accommodating, which makes the experience smooth and stress-free. I’ve stayed at a few of his Airbnbs now, and they never disappoint. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

This Shadyside rental was perfect for our group of six adults. It was very clean and comfortable. The bedrooms are large with very comfy beds. They each have a noise machine but you will need a usb-c cord to use them. The bathroom and kitchen were stocked with all the essentials. We visited during a snow storm and requested to check-in early. Jake was very quick in responding and was able to accommodate us. Despite the snow, we had no problems finding parking. The entry was cleared of snow very quickly as well. We would highly recommend this vacation rental and would stay here again when visiting Pittsburgh.

It’s was absolutely amazing

This BNB was easily one of the nicest I have stayed in through all of my traveling. We were in town for a funeral; originally from Pittsburgh and this location was amazing. There’s easy free street parking and lots to walk to. Jake’s apartment had all of the supplies and amenities. We only needed to buy food. It made it super easy to come into town with two kids and have everything easily accessible. Jake was extremely responsive to all of our needs and was always friendly and happy to help when we needed it. We had no issues during our stay and will easily be back on our next trip to Pittsburgh! The vets were amazingly comfortable, better than any hotel bed. I’ve slept in and each room had privacy and a ceiling fan, which we loved!The absolute only thing I would recommend changing would be adding an additional lock higher up on the door for family friendly stays because my toddler was easily able to escape; though that is not the hosts fault! We usually travel with them and forgot.

Jake's place was very clean and large. Our family was very comfortable and the location is awesome, super walkable to great restaurants, cafes and CMU/Pitt. The WiFi worked great and Jake is incredibly responsive. Easy parking too. We really enjoyed our weeklong stay!

We had a wonderful journey in Jake’s apartment! The position is in Shadyside, very close to some grocery store like target, it’s also quiet at night. The rooms are clean and sweat, with comfortable beds and convenient working places, temperature inside the room is also just right. One thing I have to mention is Jake just responded to our demands so quickly and efficiently: we would like to change some of the bed sheets after first night, Jake showed up the other morning and helped us with that. I would definitely recommend this apartments to my friends and families if they come to visit Pittsburgh.

Jake was very responsive, friendly, professional. The apartment was nice and clean and new. Beds were very comfortable. Bathrooms very clean and towels, shampoo, conditioner, etc provided. We loved having the convenience of a washer/dryer right in the unit. And two full bathrooms. Good space for our family. In a nice neighborhood with several restaurants, coffee shops, etc right down the street. Street parking was a little tricky though, especially in the evening when the restaurants were busy. No specified or reserved parking spot, just first come first served street parking. Some surrounding street parking also has permit restrictions. This is a consideration if you are traveling with young children as you may need to park down the street a bit or do laps until you find something. Overall we had a nice stay and it was a beautiful place. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Was a beautiful view of a cathedral right from the master bedroom. It was clean and good neighborhood. Would definitely go back if we travel this way again.

Jake’s place was a wonderful place to stay for me and my family’s visit to Pittsburgh. The place was clean and it had everything we could need. The balconies were a great place to sit and hang out. The kitchen was equipped with all of the necessary items and the coffee station was a nice added touch. We did not need to get anything because everything was already there. Jake was extremely responsive to any questions I had. The neighborhood was great with restaurants, grocery, and coffee just a block walk away. The pizza restaurant right across the street was delicious. Lastly, there was nothing that we had to do before we left. That was amazing!! I would definitely recommend Jake’s place to anyone visiting the area. We will definitely stay there again.

I stayed at Jake’s apartment when I travelled to Pittsburgh to help my daughter settle into college. It was my first time there, and I had a lot to take care of, but staying at Jake’s truly made me feel at home. The location was convenient, with everything close by, and the apartment itself was extremely clean, spacious, and beautifully upgraded. The atmosphere was peaceful, and it had everything we needed to feel comfortable. Jake was also a wonderful host—always responsive and quick to reply to any questions, which gave me peace of mind. We had a wonderful stay at Jake’s place in Pittsburgh! The house is beautifully designed, with a great layout — three bedrooms and two bathrooms were perfect for our family. Everything was clean, tidy, and well-maintained, and the amenities made our stay very comfortable. Jake was friendly, welcoming, and easy to communicate with. We truly enjoyed our two-night stay.

Place was nice, new, and clean. The living area was small but bedrooms were ample and comfortable. Parking began as a bit of a challenge, but ended up being okay. Foot traffic could be heard upstairs but wasn’t too bad overall.

Jake communicated via the app in a very timely manner. Apartment was spotless, and in a great location. Easy instructions for check in. For a late night snack the pizza shop on the corner was yummy! Thanks for hosting us, Jake!

The space I rented was beautiful and spotless. It had all of the cooking equipment with a very nice kitchen to work in. I especially liked the two decl patios. Beds were very comfy. Pet friendly. Getting into the building was quite challenging even upon reading the directions that were sent to me. We arrived during a thunderstorm and got soaked while trying many times to get the door unlocked. It was only after my son’s friend asked us to push the door in while pressing on the key pad. Thereafter, all of the residents didn’t even bother to lock the front door because of uncertainty of getting back into the building. The host would respond in the less than 10 minute timeframe. But none of the suggestions were helpful.

Jack’s Airbnb is one of the best staying experience for me! The location is super walkable, the apartment is very clean. Jack is very communicative and responsive. The apartment is reasonably priced. Also, the bed is very comfortable and my sleeping score is over 90 every night. All in all, 10/10 experiences.

Jake was a wonderful host who was extremely quick with his responses to any questions and had great communication. We had a wonderful stay and the apartment was immaculate! I look forward to booking with Jake in the future! 5 star host for sure!

What a perfect place in Shady Side Pittsburgh, PA

I was nervous checking in as I had just checked into a different air b&b hosted by someone else that was so dirty and bad that I decided to book a different one super last minute. Jake accepted my last minute reservation immediately, the apartment was immaculate, exactly as described and the beds were the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. In my travels to Pittsburgh over the years this has been my favorite experience. It felt like home and I loved the layout and all of the amenities. The design and detail to the place is great. I also had a family matter come up and I communicated with the host and they were very helpful and accommodating. Highly recommended and when I come back to Pittsburgh again I will be staying there!
